Horse Bits celebrates their 21st birthday in September 2012; over the years, we have grown from a small outlet to become one of the leading equestrian outlets in the North West, however our mission statement remains unchanged – we aim to offer an extensive range of high quality goods, many of which are manufactured in the UK, at affordable prices.
Our staff all receive regular training and are able to advise on and fit riding hats, body protectors and the new Point 2 air jackets; we are also licensed to prescribe and sell horse wormers, we have SQPs in store on most days, and also offer a worm count service.
We stock an extensive range of products from most of the leading manufacturers, including Air-o-wear, Ariat, Champion, Charles Owen, Global Herbs, Griffin Nuumed, Horseware, Hunter, Jeffries, Matchmakers International, Mountain Horse, NAF, Sabre Leather Company and Stockshop. Our range of supplements, lotions and potions is second to none, as is our range of fluorescent safety wear for both horse and rider.
We also have an extensive and well stocked second hand department offering a wide variety of “good as new” items for both horse and rider – this can be invaluable for parents with young children just starting out in the equestrian world.
Our staff all have an equestrian background and so are able to empathise with many of the situations that customers experience, offering friendly, impartial information about the products available.
